![]() ![]() ![]() It still looks ok, but after reinstalling it today and firing it up I've discovered the following shitshow: Glad I listened to my good old instincts when it was selling at £30.My memory of playing DS2 on PC at launch is that it seemed to look and run well. Lara Croft was more fun and still took up less space! I really don`t need to be mostly staring at the guy`s back, who is basically me for the game duration. Even when it`s not 50%, it`s still too much view space taken up. A bad port.Īlso recon5000, do you think one screenshot of one moment in gameplay shows the whole truth? I wasn`t born yesterday. However, I do suspect this game was made for a gamepad, which I don`t have. And I had Vsync off right at the start due to old experience- It still isn`t good enough. I guess you`re one of those console-only boys who are so used to it you assume control pads are better than Mice. You have to swing about until you can see something- and good luck if it`s what you want to see. There are times when it does go in close and take up that much space. If you`ve not played these kinds of games before (with the weird 3rd person angle) then it IS half the screen. I really want to play this game, but it`s going to take somework before I can get my head round to it. I don`t understand games Devs, sometimes they do a great game, but sometimes they make HUGE errors in gameplay. This game could be really immersive if it simply had a first person view (which is often more scary) or even a noraml 3rd person. It`s like they physically disable you in the game! In a game where you want to have something touching you as little as possible, it`s really hard to avoid or aim at something to kill it before it`s burying it`s warped claws in your face. You can barely see anything in front of you because the guy`s whole back covers half the screen and the controls are just. Also by now, the game will have all patches released so there should be few issues.īut I didn`t expect the 3rd person view to be so weird. I had steered away from it before because I`m not a big fan of games that do things in 3rd person view, but will tolerate it, like the Witcher and was in the mood for a horror type game. I heard lots of raves about this game from friends in the past (on consoles) and saw it in the £5 bargain bin, so thought, `Why not?` ![]()
